Glass doors have found a very respectable place in the professional arena. Not only here but even in domestic uses this has become quite common. Very recently I went on a trip. We stayed in my friends farmhouse. It was a big one for ten of us. We had reached during night so did not get much time to see through the area.
When I woke up in the morning to my utter shock I saw that all ten of us were allotted personal rooms in the farm house. “How is it possible?” I thought. I was a bit jealous on the thought that my friend was in possession of such a big farm house. Its human tendency to feel jealous, isn’t it? I was not able to resist myself and very soon during the breakfast I popped up this question to my friend. I asked him as to how has he managed to come up with such a big farmhouse in terms of number of rooms.
On my question, my friend’s response was that he started laughing at me. He took me to the house and asked me to touch the walls of the rooms. Oh my God! Is it that what I think? Glass? You have made a big huge farmhouse with glass walls and doors?
He explained to me in detailed. He bought a land and with the expert advice of an interior designer who was specialized in using commercial interior glass doors and glass accordion doors he created this entire marvel. Surely there was huge budget planning as the acoustic walls come in many price ranges. My friend’s budget was very low yet he wanted to keep it very up-to-date and spacious. He wanted to create the farm house with the concept of making at least 15 rooms but with privacy at all levels. The other fact he wanted to lay emphasis was the idea of separate doors for each doors. The interior designer advised him to use different color to different walls so as to make it a rainbow theme. She also advised him to buy the commercial glass doors of four to five different qualities. Actually these types of glass comes in variant colors and also quality. The price of the glass is depended on the degree of causticity. Meaning to say that these types of walls prevent noise level to spread across the other wall and in this way it adds to the privacy of many confidential talks. Well of course, the higher the quality of the acoustic walls the more it will prevent the sound from getting dispersed. This affects the price of the final quality. So, my friend built a main hall and then divided that main hall into several room-like compartments. And not only that, each wall of different color and so was the color of the room curtains and the accessories.
I was so impressed with this concept that I made up my mind to give it a try myself.
